Portrait of Kate Kotsiuba

Kate Kotsiuba

Kate Kotsiuba is a film director and photographer based between New York and Los Angeles, working at the intersection of fashion, narrative, and emerging technology. She began her career in 2016 and has since built a body of work spanning Ukraine, Europe, and the United States — moving fluidly between editorial photography, music videos, and brand films. Her visual language is cinematic and deliberate: shaped by darkness, restraint, and an instinct for atmosphere over ornament.

She has worked on major international productions — from Checkpoint Zoo with Ghost Robot NYC, an official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival 2024, to Infiniti, a Canal+ original series that premiered in official selection at Canneseries, where she worked in casting. As an independent director, she has created films and campaigns for artists and European commercial clients — projects defined by a director's instinct for tension, texture, and emotional precision.

Today, Kate extends that same sensibility into AI-crafted imagery and campaigns, treating artificial intelligence not as a shortcut but as a new lens — one still governed by human vision and cinematic discipline. Having built productions the traditional way — with full crews, casts, and departments — she now knows how to build them entirely through AI, carrying a project from first idea to finished image either way. Whether behind a camera or directing a generated world, her work pursues the same thing: images that feel inevitable, as if they could not have existed any other way.
